Interview on MixFM radio station with Mark, Marketing Manager at Centsys, the manufacturers of Centurion D5 SMART sliding gate motor.

MixFM:
“So tell us about this new gate motor that Centurion has developed.”

Mark:
“As a country we are being subjected to load shedding. The nice thing we have done is doubled the batteries in the motor. So not only do you get fast operations when it works normally but also during the power outages.  Battery life is now twice as long when there is a power failure. You can come home and you don't have to worry about getting out of your car.  That keeps you safe.”

MixFM:
“Is the Centurion D5 EVO still available?”

Mark:
“Yes it is.  We still support all versions of our gate motors.”

MixFM:
“Why did you call it smart?”

Mark:
“You can operate the sliding gate motor by phone using Bluetooth. It does have a 10 meter radius. The installer commissions the gate motor for this and will deal with the maintenance of it. We have future-proofed it. So now all you have to do is upgrade the firmware of the motor board.  It is great! You are always going to have the latest technology and functionality.  It can just be managed and controlled wherever you are in the country. So you don't have to be there.”

“So you can fit one of our GSM devices, which is really cool. Then you can get your notifications on your phone from your alarm.  You will also know when your gate is opening and closing. We just had an initiative now where you get free data for life. So you don't have to pay for the activations and the notifications once you have installed the device.”

“If I take my house, for instance, I have got my pool pump and sprinklers running on a timer from GSM. From my phone I can control my gate, garage and paedestrian gate. I can activate it anywhere in the world and get notifications and tests are linked up to my alarm system. So I know who's coming in and who's going out.”
“Exciting things coming up in the future as well for the Centurion D5 SMART sliding gate motor. So if you do want to install one of these gate automations, you need to contact the installers.”

Simon:
“So give us a call and we will come see you and assess your needs. No problem at all. We highly recommend putting one in or upgrading to one. I would say 80% of the machines that we install now are these D5 SMART sliding gate motor”.
